Terfa Ashwe

Terfa Ashwe is a lawyer specializing in international trade law and governance. She has extensive experience in international economic relations, trade policy,  trade-related technical assistance, and business development. Ashwe’s professional interests are in trade and its intersections with building sustainable and inclusive economies, especially on themes relating to women’s economic empowerment, SME development and the environment.  Ashwe has held professional positions in the office of the former Director-General of the WTO, the ECOWAS Secretariat, the Nigerian Government and she is currently an international consultant at the International Trade Centre, where she is the country coordinator for the ITC-SheTrades Commonwealth Project in Nigeria.
